The study, funded by the Pieper Family Foundation, examined five successful Milwaukee charter schools. Seeds of Health Elementary was included in the study. The study concluded that the five schools share the same traits of success:
- High-quality leadership
- Shared mission, beliefs, and values
- A strong sense of community
- High academic expectations
- Positive behavior expectations
- Agreed upon expectations and practices
