About Me

Brian Makinster, also known as Coach Mak, has been working as a Physical Education teacher at Seeds of Health for over 17 years. 

After earning his Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education from Coe College in 1987, he coached and taught in Iowa and at Shorewood High School.

He joined Seeds of Health in 2008 as a P.E. teacher at Windlake Elementary. Since becoming part of the organization, he has taught P.E. at Windlake Elementary, Windlake Academy, and now Seeds of Health Elementary. 

When not teaching or coaching, Brian enjoys spending time with his family and doing yard work and gardening.
