Students from both Windlake Elementary and Windlake Academy, in partnership with 16th Street Community Health Center and Express Yourself Milwaukee, completed one community beautification project and are working on another.

By adding PLTW Launch, students in kindergarten through 5th grade will be engaged in activities and projects exposing them to opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math and encourage them to develop an interest in these fields.

Windlake Academy, also known as Seeds of Health Elementary, has received the Wisconsin School of Recognition Award from the Department of Public Instruction for the 2013-2014 academic year.
