About Me

Stephanie Douglas joined Seeds of Health Elementary as a long-term special education teacher in February 2014, granting her the opportunity to form meaningful connections with the students and staff she worked with. As her time as a long-term substitute was nearing its end, Stephanie was offered a full time position as the Special Education teacher, a role which she has held for eleven years. In her role, Stephanie prioritizes making impactful connections with her students and advocating for them, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to learn in a way that will make them the most successful.

Stephanie brings extensive experience to her role at Seeds of Health Elementary, having worked with children since her graduation from high school. She previously worked at a daycare center, has been nannying the same family for eleven years, and has served as a basketball coach for grades 1-8 for ten years.

She graduated from Cardinal Stritch University with a dual certification in Special Education and Education.

Outside of professional work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Additionally, she collects baseballs from Brewer games, and now has over thirty balls that she displays in her basement.

“My path to teaching has been something I have always wanted to do. In middle school, I was a struggling learner, and I had a teacher who took the time to help me and understand how I learned. It was that teacher who made the difference in my life, and I knew from that point that I wanted to be that teacher for kids.”
