About Me
A lifelong learner and educator, Kristin Bigley began her Reading Specialist role at Seeds of Health Elementary in 2022. She started her career as an Early Childhood Exceptional Education teacher and continued to grow as a K5-2nd grade teacher, a Literacy and Staff Development Coach across grades K4-8, and, most recently, a Reading Specialist serving grades K4-2.
She holds both bachelor's and master's degrees and has teaching and administrative licenses for Special Education, PreK-3 Teacher, Reading Teacher, Reading Specialist, Director of Instruction, and Principal.
Outside of work, Kristin loves running, yoga, reading, and spending time with her kids, family, and friends. Together, they enjoy listening to music, cooking, hiking, and helping each other with projects.
Her hobbies include gardening, cooking, and all kinds of arts and crafts.
“My favorite thing about being a teacher and working at Seeds of Health is that I get to share every day with the best people in the world – kids of all ages and a lot of people who care deeply about them and their learning.”
“I decided to work at Seeds of Health because after interviewing with SOHE, I came away believing that the school leaders were genuinely committed to children and collaborating with educators to ensure all students grow. Since that interview and being hired to work here, I am reminded daily of the dedication SOHE staff have for the children and families we serve.”
