About Me

Emily Schaefers, elementary art teacher, began her role at Seeds of Health Elementary in 2022.

She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.  

Along with her passion for art, Emily enjoys art history, cooking and baking, camping, hiking, and spending time with her dogs.

“My favorite thing about being an elementary art teacher is, one: I get to teach a large age range. Teaching a large range of ages allows me to explore so many different types of projects and art processes. The variety in skill level keeps things very interesting, and I feel like I am able to learn something new with my students everyday. Two: I love any and all types of art and art materials. I get to teach my students about almost all of the things that I love to do! Seeds has been amazing at providing the art program with the variety of supplies that I like to teach; now my students have learned about and used so many different art materials.”
