About Me
A 6th grade math and social studies teacher at Seeds of Health Elementary School, Dana Pérez has been a part of the Seeds of Health community since attending Parkside Elementary as a K-4 student. She remained in the organization until graduating, attending Windlake Elementary, Windlake Academy, and Veritas High School, before continuing her studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2020.
Drawn to supporting students in the same way her teachers at Seeds supported her, Dana earned her bachelor’s degree in K-9 General Education with a minor in K-12 ESL. After her graduation, Dana returned to Seeds of Health, joining the organization as a 7th/8th grade Social Studies teacher at Seeds of Health Elementary for the 2024-25 school year.
Dana’s favorite part about being a teacher is the students. She loves seeing them curious and engaged, and she loves the difference she can see in her students from the start of the year to the end.
Outside of the classroom, Dana is active in her church community, holds various positions working as a social media coordinator, and loves trying new cafes.
“I love the staff community, I feel like that is the gem and the heart of Seeds of Health. The staff are extremely kind, supportive, and always celebrating your wins…[Seeds of Health] really is just such a special and safe space.”
