About Me
A dedicated teacher and supporter of the charter school system, Jenny Poths joined Seeds of Health in 2016. Always with the 7th and 8th grade students, she started her journey as a Social Studies teacher, before transitioning in the 2020-2021 year to her current role as an English Language Arts teacher.
Jenny is a passionate educator, with a particular love of teaching reading—especially to middle schoolers, who she enjoys helping through their transition period of life.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Bradley University and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Carroll University.
Outside of the classroom, Jenny enjoys reading and running, and she has been a swim coach with her childhood swim team for over ten years.
“I chose Seeds of Health because I had an incredible teaching experience at a charter school during my undergraduate program that led me to seeking a job at another charter program post graduation! I was and am still impressed by the care that Seeds of Health puts into their students and staff.”
